Friday Finds: Spring Accessories

Accessories are the finishing parts of a room, and when you want to change up the look of your room, accessories are the easiest way to do that.  

Changing out pillows, throws and decorative objects can change the whole look of a room. 

Whether it is the style you want to change—a traditional space that gets a little twist with some modern pieces. 

Or the color—a blue and white room gets a little punch by bringing in a complementary color of orange or pink. 

Or you want to change the seasonal vibe—winter cozy accessories to lighter summer ones.

My aunt & uncle had a house on a ski resort. I was always amazed as a child (yes, my obsession with interiors started at a very young age) at how different it felt in the summer than in the winter. My aunt would put slipcovers on the big chenille sofas, add some bright-colored pillows, and some beautiful flowers, and instantly the whole vibe of the space changed. 

It’s like changing your menu—we eat different foods in the summer than in winter—lighter, fresher. The same thing can happen with your home.
