My Favorite Finds From the Fine Day Fair
Last month I was excited to attend the Fine Day Fair Home & Garden Show. It took place at a local farm, and the description had my curiosity piqued.
From their site: “Fine Day Fair offers a truly one-of-a-kind, inspirational shopping experience all within a breathtaking country atmosphere. Visitors can shop from over 60 artisans and makers both local and from around the country. There is always an abundance of interesting curiosities, beautiful objects for the home, gorgeous giftware and so much more. Fine Day also features a carefully curated lineup of food and beverages for those looking to imbibe while they shop. MEET, SHOP & UNWIND at Fine Day Fair.”
They had me at one-of-a-kind, and the experience did not disappoint. The great thing about these events is that the vendors (mostly) have an online shop, so I wanted to share some of my highlights.
Farm + Sea
First up is Farm + Sea. I was familiar with this brand from a lot of social media buzz. Still, I had never experienced the line in person and was very excited to see the tent. Their lines of home fragrance, candles, and bath & body lived up to the hype. Made in small batches in their studio in Amesbury, Massachusetts, each product smelled better than the last. It took us some time to find our favorites, and my daughter and I left with full bags.
Camille and Company
Next, we came across the most beautiful table linens, bags, and clothing in delightful prints from Camille and Company. The color palettes were bold and earthy simultaneously, and I started dreaming up my next tablescape. My daughter was distracted by Harry Connick Jr. and his wife, Jill Goodacre, who were also looking at the beautiful pieces. It’s always fun to have a celebrity sighting in the wild.
Coppermill Kitchen
I was thrilled to come across Coppermill Kitchen. I follow them on Instagram and admire their unique lines of kitchen wear. The gleaming copper pieces are old-school classics that remind me of my childhood. Ok, as a child who was tasked with polishing, maybe I did not see the beauty at the time. But as an adult, I love the beauty of each piece.
Fleurish Home and Garden
Fleurish Home and Garden vintage garden accessories caught our eye and drew us into their tent. Vintage flower frogs and garden vessels for days; I could have spent hours soaking it all up. It was the art prints that we ended up purchasing, and I’m excited to see where they will find homes.
Wild Iris Flower Truck
Wild Iris Flower Truck is for locals only, but the whimsy of it all needed to be shared. Stepping up to the old-school truck overflowing with the most beautiful blooms and being able to create your own flower arrangement is an experience all its own. Local peeps, you can book them for your next party! And if you do, please send me an invite!
ClayStoryCT
ClayStoryCT has beautiful dishes, serving pieces, napkin rings, and accessories that are handmade and look antique. I have a set of dishes that have been in my family forever, and these pieces had the same vibe and patina—they are amazing. I was inspired by the napkin rings, and we painstakingly selected one for each family member. Only time will tell if I break out the cloth napkins and use them daily as I declared I would as I stood there longingly looking at them. It can happen, right?
Solulu Handmade
Next up is Solulu Handmade and their amazing line of bags. These bags are created in Niskayuna, New York, and are one of a kind. It is evident in the attention to detail that each one is loveling made. This is the place to look if you’re looking for a new tote.
Betsy Barry Art & Designs
And last but not least is Betsy Barry Art & Designs. Their tent was full of beautiful art prints, wrapping paper, trays, and note cards. She even had the most amazing garden markers—if I had been on top of my garden plantings, I would have purchased these for sure. We loaded up with cards, prints, and some tea towels.
We loved our time at the Fine Day Fair and look forward to the next one so we can find some new favorites. You should put this on your calendar for next year if you are local! It was an amazing afternoon.
